Serafin Dillon

Serafin is an adolescent therapist with a wealth of experience from clinical roles working with adolescents and young adults through organisations including Youthline, Rainbow Youth, and Youth Horizons.
Serafin is trained in psychodynamic and humanistic approaches as well as behavioural approaches to treatment. She employs social learning theory and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), as applied to adolescent conduct problems, antisocial behaviour, and mental health issues. Serafin’s expertise lies in her ability to establish lasting connections with adolescents wherein she has supported and mentored a diverse range of young people to build self esteem and self confidence, resulting in successful treatment outcomes for adolescents and their families.
Some of Serafin’s areas of speciality include anxiety and depressive disorders in adolescence; eating and body image issues; suicide prevention; adolescent sexuality and gender identity development.
Serafin says: "I enjoy working with a diverse population including adolescents, young adults, and families. I use an eclectic approach guided by the client's needs, it is my belief that therapy should be safe, comfortable, and fun!"
